Integrative Health Practices: Developing Capacity for Mindfulness, Meditation, and Yoga Webinar
In a collaboration between the PHEHP, ICTHP, Mental Health, Physical Activity, and Chiropractic Health Care sections and Cancer Forum, this National Public Health Week webinar for APHA members is dedicated to mindfulness—the process of paying attention to one’s physical and mental processes without judgement. Join us to learn about strategies that focus on developing capacity for mindfulness, meditation, and yoga and which methods may be the most impactful based on results from a five-week course for first and second-year medical students. During the session, attendees will participate in short examples of mindfulness, meditation, and yoga instruction.

Attendees at this 45-minute National Public Health Week event will:
- Identify teaching strategies used with the medical students that focus on developing capacity for mindfulness, meditation, and yoga
- Describe the instructional methods noted by the medical students to be the most impactful for their learning
- Participate in short examples of mindfulness, meditation, and yoga instruction that are used within the course

This APHA member-only webinar is sponsored by the PHEHP, ICTHP, Mental Health, Physical Activity, and Chiropractic Health Care Sections and the Cancer Forum.
